As I was photographing the end result of the dead spruce removal operation by Durdel & Sons, a small preying mantis showed up. Here he is, posing for the camera.
"Preying mantis" is the eggcorn for the term "praying mantis". How many of you know the difference between an eggcorn and a malapropism?

9:30 AM.
Moving the cable wires out of the way,
on to the ground,
to roll over them in the trucks.
A tight squeeze past the circle garden.
They decided they would not need
to open a space in the dog pen,
but would just move things
over the top of the fence.
The chipper-shredder moves into position.
The branches need to come off first.
Branches fed into chipper-shredder.
Buddy the minpin supervises
the tree removal operation.
And now -- the trunk.
See the trunk chunk falling
on the right side of the trunk.
Avoiding the electrical power lines.
