As I was walking home from lunch at a restaurant, some strange guy came rushing toward me, saying "Excuse me sir. Sir. Excuse me." I didn't feel like excusing anybody. I suspected he was going to scam me into giving him money. Panhandling is illegal. Then again, he may have been a mugger.
I walked up to a trucker and asked him if he was transferring loads from one truck to another, because it looked that way. He said no, his was delivering and the other truck was leaving. The strange guy turned and walked off in another direction. This is a street smarts tip. If you feel you're being pursued, try to find someone to enlist as an ally or a witness.
